Courtney Doerksen, D.D.S.
I am a dentist here at Red Deer Dental, and I love my job! I enjoy getting to meet all kinds of people, and assisting them in achieving healthy, beautiful smiles. I was born in Manitoba, but grew up in Alberta – I went to junior high and high school in Red Deer, and then did all of my post secondary education in Edmonton.
I worked in the cyclotron lab at the Cross Cancer Institute in Edmonton for several years synthesizing PET scanning radionuclides before heading back to the University of Alberta for my dental degree.
Since graduating I have been working for several years in Lacombe and now full time in Red Deer, and am really enjoying my time here.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my lovely wife Jenny, and friends and family. I am especially enthusiastic about being outside and exploring our beautiful scenery and can often be found in the mountains. I enjoy hockey and snowboarding in the winter, and am an avid Oilers fan!
I have a high degree of curiosity and like to learn about almost anything; I attempt to play the guitar and I also harbour dreams of improving my artistic skills in the areas of drawing and painting.
Myself and our staff here at Red Deer Dental look forward to meeting you and hope to forge a long term relationship to keep your mouth shiny and healthy! My practise philosophy has remained the same since dental school and I expect it to be so for the rest of my career – I strive to treat everyone as I would want to be treated myself. See you soon!
